Shellharbour covers both the original seaside village and the newer housing around it, a mix of older brick homes, holiday style cottages, townhouses and units close to the beach and the boat harbour. Short and long term renting both happen here.
Salt is the constant. Windows, screens, balustrades and aluminium frames carry a film that needs washing rather than wiping, and agents in the village streets check them closely. Older cottages bring original kitchens and small bathrooms, while the newer townhouses are quicker but held to a higher finish. Sand tracks inside all summer and settles in door tracks and laundries.
What a Shellharbour bond clean covers
The scope follows standard agent checklists rather than a promise about your bond:
- Oven, cooktop and rangehood degreased
- Cupboards and drawers inside and out
- Bathrooms descaled, screens and grout scrubbed
- Windows, screens and tracks with salt film and sand removed
- Courtyards, balconies and entries swept
- Walls spot cleaned, skirting boards and light fittings
- Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout
Quotes are built on size and condition rather than a flat rate. Units and cottages sit lower in the range, larger townhouses and houses higher. Treat any figure as guide pricing only and see our bond cleaning cost guide for typical ranges.
Need more than the standard scope? Add carpet steam cleaning, a deeper oven and kitchen clean, or book a last minute bond clean if your inspection is close. Full details of the base service are on our end of lease cleaning page.
We also cover nearby Shell Cove, Barrack Heights and Oak Flats.
Frequently asked questions
The place has been let short term between tenancies. Does that change anything?
Not the scope. Short stay use often leaves a worn kitchen and bathroom, which means more time rather than a different checklist.
Is sand in the laundry and door tracks an inspection item?
Tracks and floors are both on the standard exit checklist, and in beachside streets they are the first place grit shows. They are vacuumed and washed as part of the clean.
Does a bond clean guarantee I get my bond back?
No cleaner can promise that, and you should be wary of any who do. The bond also covers damage and unpaid rent. The cleans follow standard agent checklists, which is what your property manager inspects against.
