Austinmer is a small coastal village squeezed between the escarpment and two beaches. Houses here range from original fibro and weatherboard beach places to heavily renovated homes with ocean views, and rentals are scarce enough that agents are particular at the final inspection.
Salt and spray are the constant. Windows, screens, balustrades and aluminium frames pick up a film that needs washing rather than wiping, and homes facing the water cop the most. Sand comes inside from the beach all summer, and the escarpment behind drops leaves and bark across decks and tracks.
What the clean covers
The scope follows standard agent checklists rather than a promise about your bond:
- Oven, cooktop and rangehood degreased
- Cupboards and drawers cleaned inside and out
- Bathrooms descaled, screens and grout scrubbed
- Windows, screens, tracks and sills, salt film removed
- Decks swept and balustrade glass cleaned where reachable
- Walls spot cleaned, skirting boards and light fittings
- Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout
Size and condition set the price. Small cottages and larger renovated homes sit at opposite ends, so size and finish both count. Treat any figure as guide pricing only and see our bond cleaning cost guide for typical ranges.
Most people book carpet steam cleaning with the clean so there is one visit and one receipt. A standalone oven and kitchen clean or window cleaning can be quoted on its own, and the full scope is on our end of lease cleaning page.
We also cover nearby Thirroul and Coledale.
Frequently asked questions
Will the ocean facing glass come up clear?
Usually yes. Salt residue washes off well. Glass that has been etched over years of spray and hard water will improve without coming back to new, and an honest cleaner says so before starting.
The place has a deck that is always covered in leaves. Is that included?
Decks and entries are swept as part of the clean. Pressure washing or anything requiring height access is quoted separately rather than assumed.
Will the clean guarantee my bond is returned?
No. The bond covers damage and rent as well as cleaning, so no honest cleaner promises it back. A checklist clean gives you the best chance of keeping cleaning out of the argument.
