Dapto is one of the larger rental markets in the Illawarra, a town centre in its own right with a station, shops and a wide spread of housing from 1960s brick homes to newer estates on the edges. Families make up most of the tenancies and exits here are nearly always full houses.
Full floor plans with carpeted bedrooms, often two bathrooms, and kitchens that have fed a household for years. The agent's exit checklist is long and the flagged items are the same every time: the oven, shower grout, window tracks, skirting boards and wall marks. Newer estate homes are inspected just as closely, with an expectation of near as-new condition.
What the clean covers
The scope follows standard agent checklists rather than a promise about your bond:
- Oven, racks, cooktop and rangehood filters degreased
- Cupboards and drawers inside and out, bench tops and splashback
- Bathrooms and ensuite descaled, screens and grout scrubbed
- Windows, sills, tracks and screens
- Wardrobes wiped inside, skirting boards, switches and fans
- Walls spot cleaned, cobwebs cleared at accessible areas
- Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout
Size and condition set the price. Three and four bedroom homes are the normal job, and an ensuite plus a main bathroom adds real time to the quote. Treat any figure as guide pricing only and see our bond cleaning cost guide for typical ranges.
Common add-ons here are carpet steam cleaning and window cleaning where salt and grit have built up on glass and tracks. Moving into a new place as well? A move in clean covers that side. The standard scope is set out on our end of lease cleaning page.
We also cover nearby Horsley, Kanahooka and Koonawarra.
Frequently asked questions
Our estate home is only a few years old. Is the clean cheaper?
Often a little, because there is less built up grime. The scope does not shrink though, and agents expect newer homes returned close to as-new.
Do I need the carpets steam cleaned?
Read your lease. Carpet cleaning is commonly required where the carpets were professionally cleaned at the start of the tenancy, and agents routinely ask for a receipt.
Does a bond clean guarantee I get my bond back?
No cleaner can promise that, and you should be wary of any who do. The bond also covers damage and unpaid rent. The cleans follow standard agent checklists, which is what your property manager inspects against.
